What is fire protection of metal structures?
This concept includes a set of measures aimed at increasing the fire resistance of structures to the required minimum level. Its quality is indicated by the fire resistance class or the period during which the structure can withstand a fire at 500°C.

To attain the required class, fire protection of air ducts and other metal structures is used. It is also possible to use fire-resistant paints, varnishes and structural protection.
There are many options for such protection, which is to increase the fire resistance limit. In fire protection of steel structures, the price per m2 may be different. The main task of the measure is to form a heat insulating screen of non-combustible materials. Fire protection covers of metal structures are created using a special framework (masonry, insulation with special mineral mats, etc.).
